After a hiatus from the Winter Carnival in 2020, there was a strong contingent of teams from Narrogin Primary, East Narrogin Primary, St Matthew’s School, Williams Primary and a combined representative team from Wickepin, Wandering and Yealering Primary Schools.
At an estimate, there would have been approximately 250 Primary School Students and 65 High School Students.
All students from Year Four to Six were able to elect the chosen sport they wished to represent the school. This followed with 5 weeks of Senior Sport to learn skills in order to be able to commence some match play. It was wonderful to see the older students from Year Five and Six supporting the younger students throughout the carnival to have a go.
There was focus on the day for ‘Respect the Ref and Others’. Once again Narrogin Primary School Students stepped up to the plate and were positive representatives of this behaviour.
As host school, there is a very long list of appreciation to be conveyed to those who contributed to making the day such a resounding success:
And of course, all amazing staff who also coached, encouraged, provided first aid and assisted with score collation and overall support of the students, as well as myself. Thankyou so very much! Results are as the table below:
