We were treated with perfect sunny conditions, with a gentle breeze offering the runners some much needed cooling after their event.
Plenty of parents, carers, extended family, and friends came to support students, with some offering to help on the day, which was gratefully received.
The timed events for Year 1 through to Year 6 were held first, with the positive participation run concluding the afternoon.
There were some excellent personal timed results achieved by students. Hopefully, participants in Years 1-3 continue building their confidence and endurance for future years. The top four boys and girls in years 4-6 will be invited to represent our school at the District Cross Country on Friday 28 May at Thomas Hogg Oval. More information will be forwarded in the next week.
There was some confusion by students as to how many laps to complete in year 4 and 5, and in fairness, these races were re-run on Monday 10 May. Congratulations to all students for being very mature and understanding for the need to provide equal opportunity to all classmates.
It is finally with great pleasure that I can announce that the Winning faction was:GOLD
Red: 142 points
Green: 130 points
Gold: 146 points
